I have spent many weekends, holidays, feast days, summers and winters in the village of Skerešovo, where my wife’s grandparents built their house more than 50 years ago by their own hands. Being situated in the heart of the old Gemer region (now the Revúca district), north of Rimavská Sobota, it is usually hit hard by snow in the winter. Skerešovo is one of the many villages in Slovakia where time appeared to have stood still, which makes for great pictures in winter time.
